Ministries
Adult Faith Formation
Coordinator– Stef McNeil 916-1786/mcneils@ptdiocese.org
The adult program is scheduled according to needs of the parish, normally on Sunday mornings and other special liturgical seasons. Fellowship, faith sharing, and sacramental catechesis are emphasized. Special speakers and events are scheduled for the Lent, Advent, and summer seasons. Some training and knowledge required to lead these classes. All levels of inquiry are welcomed.
Evangelization/Family Welcome
Coordinator: Patrick Ward: jmlsjd@yahoo.com
As an integral part of our Faith Formation Commission, Evangelization includes both an Outreach to Inactive and an Outreach to Others in Faith. The Outreach to Inactive is to facilitate the healing of any hurt, to welcome those who may have distanced themselves from the Catholic community, and to assist them in deepening their personal relationship with the Lord. This is accomplished through faith sharing, support, and prayer. The Outreach to Others in Faith includes brainstorming with others on ideas of how to reach out to others in Christ’s name. Members don’t have to know everything there is to know about the Catholic faith, just be willing to learn and to show a compassionate heart. Training will be required.
Generations of Faith/Faith for All Ages
Coordinator – Angela Fifield – 932-2859 / angela@stanngulfbreeze.org
The basics of Faith remain constant. The methods embraced to pass that Faith on to children, as well as adults, must always be the most effective available. Generations of Faith Festivals bring parishioners of all ages together during the highpoints of our liturgical year to grow in Faith and knowledge of Our Lord and Church. Most importantly, Generations of Faith Festivals help all to step out together in Faith to bring the reign of God into the community. Examples include catechesis for the Sacraments of Initiation; All Saints, Pentecost and Epiphany Celebrations; Baptism and Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) reunions.
Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA)
Adult RCIA Coordinator – Angela Fifield: 932-2859/angela@stanngulfbreeze.org
RCIA flows from Vatican II to guide the process by which adults and youth are initiated into our Roman Catholic community. The RCIA describes a process in which men and women are guided and cared for as they awaken in faith and are gradually introduced to the Catholic way of life. The RCIA process is a series of carefully planned stages, marked by liturgical rites in the presence of the whole community, in which new Catholics embark on and join us in a continuing and deepening conversion into faith and discipleship. The RCIA takes the distinctive history and spiritual needs of each person into account, differentiating between the baptized and the un-baptized, the catechized and the un-catechized. The needs of mature, practicing Christians from other faith traditions are considered on an individual basis.
Sacraments of Initiation
Baptism, Eucharist, Reconciliation and Confirmation are the church’s initiation rites. This ministry provides sacramental catechesis through special training sessions and retreats for all receiving these sacraments. Training is required, and all are welcomed.

Through the power of the Holy Spirit, the staff and catechists in the elementary program have as their primary mission the proclamation of the Good News of Jesus. Working together with the children’s families, they lead children to a deeper understanding of their Catholic faith through study of Catholic tradition, Bible study, personal and liturgical prayer, community service, and evangelization.
Women’s Study Group
Coordinator – Cecilia Hines: 934-6758/hines_cecilia@bellsouth.net
The Women’s Study Group unites women committed to deepening their faith through prayer and study of the Scripture. Participants seek to grow in knowledge of God’s will and reflect the faith in daily lives through family, parish and community. This group meets throughout the school year and comes together with other study groups throughout the Diocese.
